Nonprofit How-to

Sponsorships are available to 501(c)3 or 501(c)4 organizations or those fiscally sponsored that are not currently an SJF grantee or haven’t received a grant from us in over 5 years. We hope that organizations utilize this resource to fund their most ambitious, innovative projects that are often not supported by other funders. Sponsorships are available to grassroots organizations based in ID, MT, OR, WA, and WY.
A one-year seed grant of $5,000 with three cycles made in 2025. Organizations with 501(c)3 or 501(c)4 status, American Indian/Native American/First Nation Tribal Government or Agency or those that are fiscally sponsored by those designations and carry out their work in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and/or Wyoming.
A one-year grant in 2025 of $10,000 on rolling deadline. Decisions made ever other month starting in February Funding decisions will be made every other month starting in February 2025 (and then in Apr, Jun, Aug, Oct). Organizations with 501(c)3 or 501(c)4 status, American Indian/Native American/First Nation Tribal Government or Agency or those that are fiscally sponsored by those designations and carry out their work in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and/or Wyoming.
